Negotiations Update
Your Union continues negotiations with the hospital over wages for the upcoming fiscal year starting on July 1, 2021. We are getting closer to a tentative agreement – the final agreement cannot be approved until it is put to a vote of the membership.
Ratification is a secret ballot voting process. Every dues paying member is invited to review the agreement and vote yes or no. Ballots are strictly secured and at the end of ratification are tallied. Of the cast votes, any result with 50% +1 votes carry the results. Only dues paying Union members can vote.
A “YES” vote allows the Union representatives to sign the final agreement and permits the hospital to implement the agreed upon changes. A “NO” vote sends us back to negotiations.

Disciplined: Remember to request removal of disciplinary documentation from your file after one year.
Educational Leave: Your educational leave banks reset on July 1. How are you planning on using yours? If you don’t use it - you lose it.

Actualización de negociaciones
Su Sindicato continúa la negociaciones con el hospital sobre los salarios para el año fiscal venidero comenzando el 1o de julio, 2021. Nos estamos acercando a un acuerdo tentativo – el acuerdo final no puede ser aprobado hasta que se ponga al voto de la membresía.
La ratificación es un proceso de votación de balotas secretas. Cada miembro que paga cuotas es invitado/a a revisar el acuerdo y votar si o no. Las balotas están estrictamente aseguradas y al final de la ratificación contadas. De los votos emitidos, cualquier resultado con 50% +1 gana los resultados. Solamente los miembros que pagan cuotas pueden votar.
Un voto de “SI” permite a los representantes del Sindicato firmar el acuerdo final y permite al hospital implementar los cambios acordados. Un voto de “NO” nos manda de nuevo a las negociaciones.

Disciplinado/a: recuerde solicitar remoción de documentación disciplinaria de su expediente después de un año.
Licencia educativa: los bancos de licencia educativa se reinician el 1o de julio. ¿Cómo está planeando usted usar el suyo? Si no lo usa, lo pierde.
