Strength in numbers!
Because of our Union, workers at UNMH have the opportunity to be involved with their rates of pay and working conditions. If there is something that you don’t like or is not right, you have an avenue to get involved and fix it!
Negotiations is a process that allows the Union representatives to come to the bargaining table with hospital management to represent you. This year we are negotiating for wages only. We will negotiate for the full contract next year, in 2022.
We identified wage inequities and problems and presented solutions to fix them. This week during negotiations the hospital admitted there are inherent wage inequities and wage scale problems, but they say, fixing them is out of their budget capabilities. For years, their response has been that at “some time” they will look at fixing the problems.
We want to know: When is “sometime”?
- Was it “sometime” when we were rationing personal protective equipment?
- Was it “sometime” when we were sent home, census managed, or out on quarantine, due to COVID?
- Was it “sometime” when the hospital had to rely upon travelers to keep their doors open?
Are you ready to make TODAY “sometime”?

¡Fuerza en los números!
Debido a nuestro Sindicato, los trabajadores en UNMH tienen la oportunidad de estar involucrados con su tasa de pago y condiciones de trabajo. Si hay algo que a usted no le gusta o que no está bien, ¡usted tiene una avenida para involucrarse y componerlo!
La Negociaciones es un proceso que permite a los representantes del Sindicato venir a la mesa de negociaciones con la administración del hospital para representarlo/a a usted. Este año estamos negociando solamente para los salarios. Nosotros negociaremos para el contrato completo el siguiente año, 2022.
Nosotros identificamos inequidades y problemas de salarios y presentamos soluciones para componerlos. Esta semana durante las negociaciones el hospital admitió que hay inequidades inherentes de salarios y problemas de escala salarial, pero dijeron que componerlos está fuera de sus capacidades presupuestarias. Por años, su respuesta ha sido que en “algún tiempo” van a ver cómo componer los problemas.
Queremos saber: “¿Cuándo es “algún tiempo”?
· ¿Fue “algún tiempo” cuando estabamos clasificando equipo de protección personal?
· ¿Fue “algún tiempo” cuando se nos envío a casa, durante el manejo del censo, o fuera en la cuarentena debido a COVID?
· ¿Fue “algún tiempo” cuando el hospital tuvo que depender en viajantes para mantener sus puertas abiertas?
¿Están listos para hacer HOY “algún tiempo”?
