  • 2018 UNMH Bargaining Survey
Background - Negotiations will begin on November 27, 2018, likely progressing for several weeks.

The following survey is seeking opinions from employees of UNMH about the importance of various issues which could be included in negotiations for new collective bargaining contracts.

Some of the issues that have been raised by members relate to better compensation, workplace safety, respectful treatment of employees, education. These and other related issues will be among matters the Union will press UNMH on improving.

But we need your input as to the importance of these issues, as well as others you might want to be raised.

District 1199 NM of the National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees represents more than 4,000 employees in the Licensing/Technical and the Support Staff bargaining units of UNMH.

The current collective bargaining contracts will expire on June 30, 2019.

The Union’s success will depend on two very important components:
    1. Strong ideas with strong research, and
    2. Participation of Employees on the Bargaining Team and Employees being present during negotiations to show UNMH the strength and determination the we all get a fair and thorough contract.

*If you would like to receive regular updates on the preparation for negotiation and the progress once negotiations begin in the weeks ahead, please fill out the contact information section at the end of the survey.

    Thank you for your participation.

    Sharon Argenbright,
    President, District 1199 NM
